The Southernmost South is a corner of this planet where there is a country becoming
many others: an Argentina of dreams, hopes, projects, of mysteries, of adventure.
All of them unforgettable.<BR>
There are as many Argentinas as people inhabiting, visiting or imagining it. In
this Site, The Southernmost South, you can constantly roam and catch a glimpse
of Argentina, with its extremely beautiful and seductive corners and natural or
man-made scenery.<BR>
Its recognizable boundaries run from Patagonian ice to multi-colored mountains
in the North-West, through a cultural development nurtured by European expressions
merged with native culture. As a consequence, this gave rise to a lineage of intellectuals,
scientists, creators, artists, sportsmen, honorable men, and all those who make
up the framework of an original identity. <BR CLEAR="all">

<P>Tango, gauchos, the Obelisk, the local version of psychoanalysis, Borges, Gardel,
Fangio, Leloir, Maradona are only some of the icons which automatically refer
to this country located here, in the Southernmost South, and which will take
part in this new virtual space. <BR>
<BR>
In a next stage, in The Southernmost South, there will be room for other men
with their passions and homelands. They too live in the South, very near to
Argentina. All together, they managed to break the barriers imposed by past
rancor and nowadays they are forging an alliance with economic, political, cultural
and friendly goals. Mercosur, made up by Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil and Argentina,
is the outcome of broken chains and the start for a fraternity which will also
include our Chilean brothers in this venture. <BR CLEAR="all">

<P>The Southernmost South invites you to inhabit this place in order to share
it and make it grow through the exchange of experiences and knowledge. Your
criticism and praise will allow us to elaborate a message that will make us
all feel both senders and participants. The door is open, we are waiting for
you.
